I recently purchased this lens for use on my Canon 20D. I was never happy with the lens that came with the camera. I've been very happy with this lens.

Pros:
- Quality construction. The lens doesn't feel cheap.
- Zoom range of this lens is fantastic.
- Image quality is great.
- Internal focusing makes using filters and hoods a piece of cake
- Zoom lock is nice so the zoom ring doesn't turn while stored or carried.
- Price. For the money this lens will give you a lot of bang for the buck.

Con:
- Auto focusing is a bit slow for a moving subject.

Decent Lens for the Price : Tamron AF 55-200mm F/4.0-5.6 Di-II LD Macro Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras

Compact
Light-weight
Good feel/build, looks great too!
Wide coverage of focal lenghts

Cons:
Poor image quality
Loss of contrast

I bought this lens about six months ago for my Nikon D60, despite the fact that it would not auto-focus with my camera. Even when properly focused, I would observation a loss of saturation and contrast at longer focal lengths, and often the effects were beyond the help of photoshop. It was a shame; the lens indubitably felt good in my hands; it was a decent size, good build to it, and the included hood was nice; just lacking in image quality.
